About the Colorado Home Visiting Coalition

The Colorado Home Visiting Coalition (CHVC) collaborates to strengthen and advance effective home visiting services across Colorado.

The CHVC works to ensure that all families in Colorado are supported to thrive.

Coalition Members

Colorado Home Visiting Coalition members include organizations that support complimentary, evidence-based home visiting models for pregnant people and families with children through kindergarten. Members use a preventative, holistic, two-generation approach to break the cycle of poverty by providing health and education supports. Our coalition members deliver the programs shown below.

About Home Visiting

What is home visiting

Home visiting is a prevention strategy designed to:

  • support pregnant families
  • promote infant and child health
  • foster child development and school readiness
  • help prevent child abuse and neglect.
Home visiting programs are voluntary and offer vital support to parents as they manage the challenges of raising babies and young children. Colorado’s home visiting models are rigorously evaluated and proven to work. Learn more about these evidence-based approaches.
